Hereford Zone Recreation and Parks Council
Session Overview

Mission:

To teach, develop, and offer youth players the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of basketball while instilling life-lessons and values such as character, team work, discipline, respect and sportsmanship.

Vision:

To produce fundamentally-sound basketball players that enjoy the game and continue to play through all ages of life demonstrating the same values and lessons established in our mission.

The Hereford Girls Travel Basketball program has focused on exposing young girls to basketball in a safe & fun learning environment that fosters confidence in fundamental skills for the sport.  Our clinics are designed to break down developmental skills for success on the court while encouraging girls to try new things and show teamwork.

This year’s fall clinic will begin Sunday Sep 13 and run weekly through the last date on Sunday Oct 11 (5 sessions).  Timing may vary based on the age group/skill levels and participation.

Girls Grades 3rd-5th      Sundays 3-430pm Sep 13-Oct 11 (Open Gym)
Girls Grades 6th-12th    Sundays 430-6pm Sep 13-Oct 11 (Open Gym)

Girls Basketball Open Gym

Open gym dates are open to any girls in Grades 3rd-6th from 3-430pm and Grades 6th-8th 430-6pm.  Open Gym schedules will offer more opportunities for competitive games, scrimmages and small-sided play as attendance numbers allow.

Girls do not have to be current travel participants to participate in any of the events.  Participants are encouraged to bring a basketball, while some will be available, numbers may vary from session to session and bringing your own ball will ensure you always have what you need to work on your skills.

The cost to register is $60, this includes access to the open gym sessions. Come for as many or as few sessions as you choose, but remember all participants must  be registered to participate.
